Let’s give your traditional marinated chicken a new, unexpected flavor!
Our Spicy Strawberry Sauce Marinated Chicken features a zesty combination of fresh strawberries, ketchup, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and of course our TRUFF White Hot Sauce.
This sweet and spicy saucy blend is heightened by TRUFF’s combination of umami-rich white truffles and fiery red chili peppers. This melody of flavors pairs perfectly with a side of cornbread!
Instructions
To make the sauce, place strawberries, ketchup, honey, vinegar, TRUFF White Hot Sauce, and garlic in a saucepan, stir to combine, and bring to a low simmer.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool before transferring to a blender.
Once cool, blend until smooth, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Place the chicken in a shallow baking dish and coat in half of the sauce.
Refrigerate the chicken for 30 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium heat.
Once the chicken has marinated, place it on the grill, and cook for three to four minutes per side or until lightly charred and cooked through.
Remove from the grill and brush with some of the reserved sauce.
To make topping, place strawberries, jalapeño, cilantro, honey in a medium bowl, and a squeeze of lime juice, and stir to combine.
Place chicken on a platter and garnish with the topping before serving.
