Seared Scallops with TRUFF White Butter Sauce

Seared scallops are known for sweet flavor and buttery-soft texture and this recipe is no exception!

In this TRUFF’d up recipe, the bright, decadent nature of white truffle is on full display thanks to our White Truffle Gift Set featuring TRUFF White Hot Sauce and TRUFF White Truffle Oil. These perfectly seared scallops are complemented by the delicate white truffle and butter sauce.

We love to serve this dish as an appetizer alongside bread for dipping, or as a main course!

Instructions

  1. Dry scallops and set aside.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet.

  3. Once hot, add the scallops, and sear until brown, about two minutes per side.

  4. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set aside.

  5. Reduce heat and deglaze the skillet with white wine and lemon juice, bring to a simmer.

  6. Once simmering, add TRUFF White Hot Sauce and TRUFF White Truffle Oil, and whisk to combine.

  7. Working in small batches, add the butter to the skillet, whisking until the butter has melted.

  8. Add the garlic to the skillet as well, and whisk to combine.

  9. Cook for one minute more.

  10. Return the scallops to the skillet to reheat, and season to taste with salt and pepper.

  11. Divide scallops between plates and sprinkle with chopped chives before serving.
