Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Place TRUFF Spicy Mayonnaise and whole milk in a bowl and whisk until blended.
  3. In a large bowl, place flour, baking powder, and salt, whisk until blended.
  4. Add the mayo mixture to the flour and stir to combine the dough.
  5. Knead the biscuit dough on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Roll the dough into a thick 1/2 inch-3/4 inch slab.
  7. Portion the dough into six even biscuits and place one inch apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake biscuits for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool.
  9. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and lightly grease.
    1. Once hot, crumble breakfast sausage into the pan and stirring occasionally, cook until golden and crispy.
    2. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside on paper towels.
    3. Return the skillet to medium heat and add butter.
    4. Once the butter has melted, add flour and stir to combine, creating a roux.
    5. Add milk, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper to the skillet, and whisk until blended.
    6. Bring the gravy to a simmer, whisking frequently until thickened for about three minutes.
    7. Reduce heat to low, add sausage, and stir to combine.
    8. Season the gravy to taste with salt.
    9. Spoon gravy over split biscuits and garnish with chopped chives before serving.
