Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Place melted butter, garlic, and parsley in a bowl and stir to combine.
  3. Brush bread slices with the garlic butter on both sides.
  4. Lightly grease a high-sided springform pan.
  5. Line the bottom and sides of the pan with garlic bread. Set aside.
  6. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Once hot, add the sausages to the skillet, cover, and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning frequently, until cooked through.
  8. Remove from the skillet and set aside to rest for five minutes before slicing.
  9. Place the sliced sausages in a large bowl.
    1. Add the remaining one tablespoon of oil to the skillet.
    2. Once hot, add peppers, onion, and garlic, and sauté until the veggies are tender.
    3. Add the veggies, sausage, TRUFF Pomodoro Pasta Sauce, cooked pasta noodles, 3/4 cup mozzarella cubes, and 1/4 cup grated parmesan to the bowl and stir to combine.
    4. Using the back of the spoon to press and compact, add the mixture into the prepared, garlic bread-lined pan.
    5. Top off the mixture with the remaining 3/4 cup of cubed mozzarella and sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese. Place in the oven.
    6. Place the pan on a large baking sheet to catch any drips.
    7. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until heated through and lightly golden on top.
    8. Remove from the oven and set aside to rest for 15 minutes before removing the torte from the springform pan.
    9. Garnish the torte with basil before slicing and serving.
